Volunteer Work: Awaken Church Website

When Awaken Church in McMinnville, Oregon created a website, they hired a local PR firm to do it. I was asked to write the bios and maintain the site once it was up and running. It was a great opportunity, so I took it.

Part of maintaining the website is updating the church’s online calendar regularly. The one built into Squarespace, which is the website platform, was time consuming to use, so I replaced it with a Loxi calendar, which allows users to quickly schedule up to two year’s of events at one time. It was easy to embed on the church website and also allows me to post links to events on the church’s Facebook page with the featured photo for each event.
